Breakfast on the Beach in Mayaro
Hosted by Global Villages 360, this Breakfast on the Beach experience provides totally local food from farm to table. At the breakfast, you'll learn the origin of the food served, as well as its nutritional and medicinal value. Partnering with local caterers, some of whom grow the food that they cook, Breakfast on the Beach also features a visit to a local farm to see how produce is grown and distributed. Menus will be provided upon booking.

Down The Islands - From Chaguaramas to Chacachacare
We'll start the day early with a drive down to the northwestern peninsula where you'll see sights that played an important role in World War II.. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a boat tour around the islands off the northwestern peninsula of Trinidad. If you're lucky, you may see dolphins frolicking in the surrounding waters. We'll then spend some time exploring Chacachacare, the westernmost of the Bocas Islands that belong to Trinidad and Tobago. Beginning with an informal exploration of the abandoned Leper Colony, which was closed in 1984, we'll then hike up to the lighthouse, and end the day with a visit to the salt pond and Bande de Sud.

The Pitch Lake, Icacos Lagoon & Columbus Bay
The Pitch Lake
Leaving San Fernando, we'll drive along the south west coast through Oropouche, Aripero, and Rousillac to get to the village of La Brea, home of The Pitch Lake. The largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world, Sir Walter Raleigh made use of its resources on his expedition in 1595. We'll do a walking tour with one of the experienced guides there, and if you're brave enough, feel free to take a dip in one of its many healing sulphur-infused channels.

Turtle Watching and Point Galera Lighthouse, Toco
On the last day of the tour, we'll head out after lunch to Toco, which marks the northeastern tip of Trinidad. We'll stop for a sea bath at Salybia and, later on, we'll visit the Toco Lighthouse, which was constructed in 1897. The lighthouse sits at Galera Point, which affords a close-up view of massive waves crashing against of the rocky coast. After taking in the sunset, we'll head back down to Matura where, during nesting months (March-August), endangered leatherback turtles come ashore at night to lay their eggs.
