These experiences cater for two (2) adults total and include:

The Experiences
Arima to Las Cuevas, with a visit to Asa Wright Nature Centre

Join us for a scenic drive through the lush Arima Valley. At 10:30 am, we'll stop in at the world renowned Asa Wright Nature Centre for a guided walk with one of the centre's professional guides. After lunch*, we'll continue our drive through the tropical rain forest, passing through several cocoa, coffee, and citrus estates. We'll also pass the villages of Morne La Croix, Morne Bleu, Blanchisseuse, La Filette, and finally, Las Cuevas, where we'll stop for an afternoon swim. If time permits, we'll stop at the Maracas lookout for pictures and a taste of local delicacies.

Breakfast on the Beach ( in Mayaro or Moruga)

Hosted by Global Villages 360, this Breakfast on the Beach experience provides totally local food from farm to table. At the breakfast, you'll learn the origin of the food served, as well as its nutritional and medicinal value. Partnering with local caterers, some of whom grow the food that they cook, Breakfast on the Beach also features a visit to a local farm to see how produce is grown and distributed. Menus will be provided upon booking.

Bush Bush Wildlife Sanctuary

Bush Bush island is a sandy, forested island within the Nariva Swamp, the largest freshwater wetland in Trinidad and Tobago that has been designated a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention. Nariva Swamp is located on the east coast of Trinidad, immediately inland from Manzanilla Bay and covers over 60 square kilometres (23 mi2). An extremely biodiverse area, Nariva Swamp is home to 45 mammal species, 39 reptile species, 33 fish species, 204 bird species, 19 frog species, 213 insect species, and 15 mollusc species.

Central Trinidad/Indo-Heritage & Caroni Bird Sanctuary

Hanuman Murti
The first stop on our Central Trinidad experience is the 85 foot Hanuman Murti--the largest Hindu murti (or idol) outside of India. We'll then head over to the Indo Heritage Museum to view a replica of the Fatel Razack, the first ship that brought indentured workers from India to Trinidad.

Temple in the Sea
Afterwards, we'll head to the nearby Temple in the Sea, a Hindu pilgrimage site built by a former indentured labourer, Siewdass Sadhu.

Caroni Bird Sanctuary
Home to over 100 bird species, the Caroni Swamp is a 12,000 acre wildlife sanctuary and is home to one of Trinidad and Tobago’s national birds, the Scarlet Ibis. We'll finish our tour at sunset, as we watch the Scarlet Ibis and other species return from their feeding grounds to roost for the night.

- PLEASE NOTE: A part of this tour involves getting on a flat-bottomed boat.
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Long pants or a skirt are recommended for visiting the Hanuman Murti, the Temple in the Sea, and Our Lady of Montserrat Church as these are religious sites. A wrap or sarong over your shorts would do the trick!

Down The Islands - From Chaguaramas to Chacachacare*

We'll start the day early with a drive down to the northwestern peninsula where you'll see sights that played an important role in World War II.. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a boat tour around the islands off the northwestern peninsula of Trinidad. If you're lucky, you may see dolphins frolicking in the surrounding waters. We'll then spend some time exploring Chacachacare, the westernmost of the Bocas Islands that belong to Trinidad and Tobago. Beginning with an informal exploration of the abandoned Leper Colony, which was closed in 1984, we'll then hike up to the lighthouse, and end the day with a visit to the salt pond and Bande de Sud.

Mount St. Benedict Monastery, Lopinot Historical Complex, and a River Bath
We'll start off mid-morning with a drive along the east-west corridor to Tunapuna where we'll visit the Abbey at Mount St. Benedict. Founded in !912, Mount Saint Benedict Abbey, also known as The Abbey of Our Lady of Exile is a Benedictine monastery following the Order of Saint Benedict.

The destination features a restored estate house museum, a recreational park, a savannah, and carat sheds along the river where you're welcome to take a refreshing dip in the cool mountain waters..

Nighttime Food Tour

Experience some great tasting eats on a fun 3-hour food drive in Trinidad. On this tour, taste some of Trinidad's night time treats such as doubles, corn soup, roti, homemade ice cream, and more! A wide variety of exciting, delicious foods, including corn, cow heel, or oxtail soup, geera pork, doubles, roti, and homemade ice cream.

Paria Bay & Waterfall

We'll start off early with a scenic drive along the north coast road to the village of Blanchisseuse where we'll catch a pirogue (fishing boat) to Paria Bay. Depending on the weather and river conditions, we'll visit the Paria Waterfall and walk to the far end of the beach to take in the natural formation known as Cathedral Rock.

The Pitch Lake, Icacos Lagoon & Columbus Bay

The Pitch Lake
Leaving San Fernando, we'll drive along the south west coast through Oropouche, Aripero, and Rousillac to get to the village of La Brea, home of The Pitch Lake. The largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world, Sir Walter Raleigh made use of its resources on his expedition in 1595. We'll do a walking tour with one of the experienced guides there, and if you're brave enough, feel free to take a dip in one of its many healing sulphur-infused channels.

Port of Spain by Car and a Chocolate Walking Tour

We'll have a leisurely morning rest and, later in the day, we'll drive around to check out some scenery and some historic spots in and around our capital city, Port of Spain. After seeing the city by car, we'll do the Chocolate Walking Tour of Port of Spain where you'll discover the role cocoa has played in our national history. Conducted independently by ARCTT, this tour will allow you to taste loads of chocolate and meet some of the movers and shakers in the world of local chocolate.

Sunset Walk on Bush Mountain

Immerse yourself in nature a heartbeat away from the city. Located in St. Anns, Bush Mountain is a natural paradise on the northern edge of Port of Spain. A easy hour-long hike (due to several stops) takes you into the heart of this fitness and wellness sanctuary that is home to several species of hummingbirds, as well as other local flora and fauna. Bush Mountain is also equipped with various platforms for exercise, or just taking in the stunning view of Port of Spain, the Caroni Plains, and beyond..

Turtle Watching and Point Galera Lighthouse on The Northeast Coast

On the last day of the tour, we'll head out after lunch to Toco, which marks the northeastern tip of Trinidad. We'll stop for a sea bath at Salybia and, later on, we'll visit the Toco Lighthouse, which was constructed in 1897. The lighthouse sits at Galera Point, which affords a close-up view of massive waves crashing against of the rocky coast. After taking in the sunset, we'll head back down to Matura where, during nesting months (March-August), endangered leatherback turtles come ashore at night to lay their eggs.
On the last day of the tour, we'll head out after lunch to Toco, which marks the northeastern tip of Trinidad.
